How did I get here?

My journey began with the Minecraft craze of the early-mid 2010s, volunteering to moderate and support Minecraft servers. In 2016, I fell in love with streaming on Twitch and building connections and a community around games we all loved playing.

In 2016, I founded 95 Degrees - bringing together all of my friends from Skype, Twitch, Twitter and Minecraft into one group on Discord, a new-at-the-time social platform with high-quality voice chat and features like bots. As Discord rapidly grew in the following years, so did 95 Degrees - growing by 1000 members in one month. Despite this rapid growth, the tight-knit community aspect persisted - spawning a podcast, gaming tournaments, and offline meetups.

Since 2019, I've been bringing my expertise to game developers, event organisers, and big dreamers - from bringing Tower Unite to its all-time peak player count at PixelTail Games to helping Cubed! increase its funds raised by 480% in three years.

Moderating & Building Minecraft Servers

2014 was a landmark year for Internet culture - the Ice Bucket Challenge was raising awareness of ALS, Luigi's death stare spread like wildfire, and Uptown Funk hit the charts. But one trend from previous years was still standing strong - Minecraft.

I was hooked during the game's peak, from 2011-2016. I spent almost every second of my free time on Minecraft forums and listening to Minecraft-based parodies of pop songs. I started making friends, some of which were working on their own Minecraft server - and before long, I was added as a moderator.

Founded 95 Degrees Community

After making connections through Minecraft, Skype, Twitch, YouTube and other platforms, I was invited to a new social platform in 2015 - Discord.

After joining a few Discord servers and getting hooked with its high voice quality, music bot features and unique approach to community, I decided to create my own Discord server in July 2016. I invited a few friends I knew, and we made the server public a few months later. Before we knew it, we had 300, 500, even 1000 members in the server.

Today, 95 Degrees is host to over 11 million messages, live events, gaming tournaments, and over 2500 members.

In 2019, I joined PixelTail Games to expand the reach of their MMO game, Tower Unite, through engaging game trailers, social media campaigns, and by working directly with the Tower Unite community through Discord, Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, and in-game.
